Hi, I am Brian Turner, a professional photographer who specializes in wildlife, landscape, and aviation photography. I was in Logistics for over two decades as an operations manager. In 2020 as things changed in the world, it did for my wife and I as well. We decided to pursue my passion and make it my profession. We sold our house and have been travelling in a 5th wheel ever since taking photos along the way.
I love photography because it gets me outdoors and lets me tap into the creative part of my brain. It is so much fun seeking out cool destinations to shoot and to find different perspectives for places I’ve already been. The most peaceful time is being in the middle of nowhere and in the middle of the night, alone or with some good friends, shooting the milky way. It’s quiet yet so powerful.
One of my absolute favorite subjects to photograph is the grizzly bear. To spend time with an apex predator is something special. I enjoy every second that I am able to spend observing them and if lucky, capture an image.
For the past three years we have been fortunate enough to spend time photographing the US Navy Blue Angels at their winter training home in El Centro, California. It’s been an amazing experience and turns me back into a kid again. I remember seeing them perform at airshows growing up, and I am just as amazed at their skills and performance now as I was then. I spent 12 years in the US Army and enjoy all things military. Photographing aviation is something I enjoy and love I can add to my skillset.
If you enjoy my work, please follow along through my website and social medias. I have some exciting projects lined up for next year. If you find yourself in Idaho Falls, please stop into Romaine’s showroom to see 47 large metal, canvas, and float frame prints of mine on display and for sale. I do commissioned work, offer custom mock-up services and portrait work as well. I have fun shooting portrait sessions in epic locations during our travels.
I appreciate all the support, especially over the past few years, for my work. To have a piece of my art hanging up in someone’s home or office is very special and rewarding. I look forward to continuing my photographic journey, exploring new places, digging deeper into old places, and sharing my journey through my lens with the world.
